Rights of Data Subjects and Requests from Concerned Individuals
According to Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVK Law), data subjects have the right to: • Learn whether personal data is being processed, • Request information regarding their personal data if processed, • Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is being used for its intended purpose, • Learn third parties to whom personal data is transferred, whether in Turkey or abroad, • Request the correction of personal data if processed incompletely or incorrectly, and ask for the notification of such corrections to third parties, • Request the deletion or destruction of personal data when the reasons for processing no longer exist, and ask for the notification of such actions to third parties, • Object to the result of the personal data being analyzed exclusively by automated systems if it leads to a conclusion detrimental to the individual, • Request compensation for damages caused by the unlawful processing of personal data.
